Salaya, Thailand
Salaya is a western suburb of Bangkok and located about 30 kilometers from Bangkok’s city center.
From the city center, Salaya can be accessed via taxi, van, bus, and Mahidol College of Music’s own SalayaLink bus that connects Bangkok’s BTS sky train service to Salaya. Typically (with traffic), the commute from Bangkok’s city center to Salaya can take anywhere from 45 minutes to 1.5 hours. If planning on staying in BKK during the congress, taxi service directly from your hotel to Salaya is the easiest commute. Salaya is home to Mahidol University’s main campus and is home to 20,000 students. Close to Salaya is Phuttamonthon Park which is home to the largest standing Buddha monument in Thailand.

This link is the BTS Skytrain website. There’s no Skytrain directly to Salaya, but you can get close (within 10 km from Mahidol, Salaya) and take a taxi or Salaya Link from BTS Bang Wa Station.

Thailand doesn’t have UBER, we use Grab. Grab has taxi, car, delivery, and food service. Install the app on your phone. It will make travel once inside Thailand easier.
